Richard Marlow, Sr.

Richard Marlow, Sr., was born October 2, 1830 in Perry Co., Alabama and died March 6, 1897 in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama. On February 5, 1852, Perry Co., Alabama, he married Susan Ann Powers. She was born June 15, 1837 in MS or AL and died August 8, 1889 Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama.

Richard and Susan moved to Bibb Co., Alabama sometime between the 1850 Census and the 1860 Census, since in the 1860 Census of Bibb Co., Alabama he was enumerated on the East Side of Cahaba River, Six Mile P.O. I don't have much information on his military records but I do have copies of Receipt Roles that show that he was in Co. D Camp of Instruction, Talladega Alabama. Dates range from April 13, 1862 to July 26, 1864. I don't know, as yet, the date he enlisted or was discharged.
